Today GOLF RETAILING Magazine changed legal ownership moving from Swink Media to Robel Media. The good news is that whilst the legal business entity is different, Publisher and founder of the title, Miles Bossom, retains 100% shareholding in the business and will be supported by Editor Dan Owen and Oliver Peebles, Sales Director.
Swink Media LLP was a strategic business unit of Miles Publishing, the leading publisher in the ICT sector. It was announced today that Miles Publishing Limited (MPL) was acquired by Mark Allen Group (MAG) in their fourth acquisition of the year.
Ben Allen, Chief Executive of MAG, said; “This is a great acquisition for us. I got to know Miles quite well when we sold him last year our golf magazine, Pro-Shop Europe. Miles has built up a very good company which, for personal reasons, he now wishes to dispose of, although, as a very keen golfer, he is going to retain the golf part of his operation.”
Miles Bossom said: “After nearly 20 years operating within the ICT sector it is with a real sense of sadness that I am exiting. However, within MAG I know that my business, and, more importantly, my team, and our customers will benefit. GOLF RETAILING will benefit from being my only business focus and as such will receive more of my attention than it has over the past three years.”
Our customers can look forward to an even better GOLF RETAILING in 2018 as we will be launching our new website and broader digital offering at The PGA Merchandise Show at the end of January. All business contracts will transfer from Swink Media LLP to Robel Media LLP with immediate effect.
