GMS AGENCY BREAKS INTO PRWEEK UK TOP 150 FOR THE FIRST TIME

GMS Agency has been named in the PRWeek UK Top 150 Consultancies for the first time, entering at No. 126, having risen from No. 158 in 2025 after three consecutive years on the ‘Bubbling Under’ list.

The milestone marks a defining moment for the agency, which has established itself as the only specialist golf-focused communications agency to feature in the ranking.

The Top 150 placement reflects a period of sustained growth across both revenue and global operations. GMS’s UK PR revenue increased to £2.7 million ($3.4 million), up from £1.95 million ($2.4 million) the previous year – representing 36% year-on-year growth.

Total agency revenue also rose significantly, climbing from £4.5 million ($5.6 million) in 2024 to £5.4 million ($6.75 million) in 2025, a 20% increase, with the business currently tracking towards £6.8 million ($8.5 million) in 2026 – a further 26% projected growth.

This financial performance has been matched by continued team expansion. UK headcount has grown from 18 to 23 employees, while GMS’s international workforce now exceeds 30 staff, supporting an increasingly global client base.

The agency’s international footprint now includes offices in London, Lisbon, Dubai and Chicago, alongside established teams in Tokyo and Seoul, reflecting its commitment to delivering specialist communications support across key global markets.

In October 2025, GMS transitioned to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) structure, reinforcing its long-term commitment to independence, culture, and shared success across the business.

The PRWeek recognition follows a series of industry accolades. GMS was named Agency of the Year at the 2025 Sports Business Awards, and has also received nominations in recent years for leading UK business honours including the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards and the Santander Growing Business Awards, among others.

Sam Elder, Co-CEO of GMS Agency, said: “Breaking into the PRWeek Top 150 is a huge moment for GMS. After several years on the cusp, it’s incredibly rewarding to see that the progress we’ve made has been recognised – particularly as a specialist agency in a highly competitive landscape.

“Our growth has been driven by a clear focus on what we do best, combined with expanding our presence internationally. With teams now across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the US, we’re in a strong position to support clients on a truly global scale.

“Becoming employee-owned last year was another defining step. It ensures that as we continue to grow, we do so in a way that rewards our people and protects the culture that has got us here.”

With continued investment in its people, global presence, and specialist expertise, GMS is well positioned to build on this momentum and further strengthen its standing within the global communications industry.
