GALVIN GREEN REPORTS 50% GROWTH RATE IN THE U.S. MARKET

Galvin Green has seen orders for its distinctive range of premium performance golf clothing grow by more than 50% in the U.S. in recent months, to reach record levels for the brand in the world’s biggest golfing marketplace.

Since moving to new domestic headquarters in Carlsbad, CA. in the Spring of last year under the leadership of Steve Hendren, President of Galvin Green USA, the brand has achieved significant sales growth across several categories of its premium multi-layer range, including outerwear, warm layers, shirts and pants.

Earlier this year it enjoyed a highly successful PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL. where the revolutionary ShakeDry waterproof jacket – called ASHTON – was revealed to potential accounts and the golfing media. Subsequently, the brand’s lightest ever GORE-TEX rain jacket attracted unprecedented interest from retailers nationwide, as well as an Editor’s Choice Award from Golf Digest – leading to its launch in a limited green zipper version being brought forward to coincide with the first Major of the season.

Now pre-orders taken across the States for the Part Two collection by members of its expanding sales team, have exceeded those for the equivalent 2018 range by 51%. The latest collection goes on sale from next month and includes new waterproof garments with stretch fabric and lightweight mesh lining; more Interface hybrid windproof, water-repellent jackets and body-warmers designed for 95 out of 100 rounds; and a wider selection of highly breathable and stylish VENTIL8™ PLUS shirts and pants with UPF 20+; plus a host of new colors and size options.

“We’re off to a great start in 2019 and it looks very encouraging for the rest of the year as Galvin Green becomes more recognized across the country for premium performance in every product category,” said Hendren.

“The introduction of the ShakeDry technology has played a big part in improving our position as the most innovative outerwear company, and our pre-orders have hit record levels. We’re planning to build on this success with even more innovation in the rain gear sector in the future,” he added.

Tour players wearing Galvin Green include PGA Tour champions Troy Merritt and Martin Laird, plus Ben Silverman.
