Galvin Green receives IAGTO Award for ‘Outstanding Service’

Galvin Green, the leading high-performance golf apparel brand, has been commended by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) with a ‘2021 Outstanding Service Award’ for its unparalleled service and support – especially in the most challenging of times during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Becoming the only apparel brand this year to receive the recognition, Galvin Green was one of 342 companies and organisations across the globe to be commended for the determination to go above what was required over the past two years.

In the ‘Service Providers’ sector, the pioneering brand based in Växjö, Sweden was one of 15 companies or organisations to feature alongside the likes of European Tour Destinations; GEO Foundation;; Sports Marketing Surveys; bunkered magazine and Troon Golf.

All 2500 IAGTO members across a total of 90 countries nominated companies and organisations that went above and beyond to provide unparalleled support and service over the past two years of the pandemic.

Since the inception of the annual awards in 2001, the IAGTO has rewarded those who implement best practices within the golf tourism industry. The 21st annual IAGTO Awards adopted a different approach to previous years in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This award follows a list of accolades that Galvin Green has received this year, including the coveted ‘Sustainability in Sport’ title at the Sports Technology Awards in May. Showcasing the brand’s approach to being more environmentally friendly, the Swedish brand was praised for its range of INSULA™ sweaters made entirely from recycled plastic bottles.

Two of Europe’s biggest golf media titles credited the brand with Editor’s Choice Awards for the 2021 ‘GameDay’ Part One collection. Today’s Golfer broke tradition to award the entire collection with an Editor’s Choice Apparel Award, while Golf Monthly selected the flagship ACTION jacket, which saw Galvin Green feature for a fourth consecutive year.
