Galvin Green announces Team 30 Programme

Leading apparel brand Galvin Green is marking three decades in the golf industry by setting up an ambassador programme involving 30 of its long-standing top customers based at some of the most famous golf courses and retail outlets in the UK and Ireland.

Known as Galvin Green Team 30, they include Directors of Golf, PGA professionals and accomplished retailers who are committed to promoting the brand at all levels – from tournament play, coaching, in-store projection and social media posts.

Among those courses and retail outlets represented are prestigious venues such as Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Adare Manor, Doonbeg, Royal Porthcawl, St Annes Old Links, Trevose, Gullane and Prestwick, plus The Old Course Hotel St Andrews and Auchterlonies of St Andrews.

“We were keen to work closely with people in our top accounts who can talk from experience about the brand and its products and are thrilled with the response from those we invited to take part,” said UK & Ireland Marketing Manager, Conor Petters. “In wearing our product on a full-time basis, they can provide us with invaluable feedback on the performance of the garments and enhance the brand profile in their clubs and stores at the same time.”

A member of the select Team 30 is Sean Owen, Director of Golf at Bolton Links Golf Club, who was one of the first to adopt the brand in the UK. “I’ve been a supporter of Galvin Green since day one,” said Sean. “I’m delighted to become a brand ambassador for such a great company. The brand has gone from strength to strength and it’s a real pleasure to sell, let alone wear such quality products. The 2020 Part One range is the best I’ve seen since I first stocked the brand,” he added.

Galvin Green launched its first golf collection from Sweden in 1990 and today 25 of the world’s top 30 golf courses stock the product, designed by golfers for golfers. Details of the latest ranges can be found at
