Foremost Golf has announced that its Foremost POS system is now used by more than 300 members and golf facilities, underlining the growing appetite for data-led retail management within professional shops.
Surpassing the 300-user mark represents a significant vote of confidence from members, with adoption driven by the need to make clearer, more informed commercial decisions in an increasingly competitive retail environment.
“Reaching 300 users is not just about a headline figure. It reflects a real change in mindset among our members,” commented Andy Martin, Managing Director at Foremost Golf. “As more members choose to run their retail businesses based on evidence rather than instinct, it allows Foremost to deliver better insight, stronger support, and more meaningful benchmarking back to the group.”
Foremost POS sits at the centre of the group’s wider member support, integrating directly with key Foremost services including the group’s unique Central Invoicing system. This integration allows supplier invoices to populate the POS system automatically, delivering greater accuracy in sales margins and reporting, and providing members with far more meaningful business insight.
The system also links with Foremost’s Business Performance Analysis meetings, delivered through personal visits by the group’s Business Development Consultants, as well as coordination with the Elite Marketing Programme (EMP), ensuring retail data, planning, and marketing activity are fully aligned.
The growth in adoption comes as Foremost continues to invest in long-term support tools that help members remain competitive, resilient, and commercially focused. POS data now underpins key areas of Foremost’s consultant-led support, including annual planning, in-season reviews, and performance benchmarking.
Members already using Foremost POS consistently highlight clarity and confidence as key benefits, particularly when making buying decisions and reviewing performance across different retail categories.

“Moving to Foremost POS has given us confidence in the decisions we make,” said Mark Tyler, PGA Professional at Bracken Ghyll Golf Club. “Knowing our numbers means we can plan properly rather than reacting week to week.”
With usage now firmly established across hundreds of professional shops, the Foremost POS IT team is now actively working on exciting new developments of the retail software that will be launched throughout 2026.
