FootJoy is continuing its commitment to supporting retailers in 2026 through a range of educations days and events highlighting the importance of wearing correctly fitted, performance footwear.
The brand is leading the way in the sector, employing four full-time Product Specialists to be out on the road visiting retailers. They have so far fitted over 9,000 golfers across Great Britain and Ireland.
The team spend most of their time during the winter months conducting education workshops, helping retailers feel more confident fitting golfers into the correct-sized golf shoes and discussing the different performance benefits of the various styles.
During the summer months, the FootJoy Product Specialists spend their time hosting shoe fitting events requested by retailers who are wanting to take advantage of FootJoy’s advanced fitting technology.
FJ’s FitLab offers the ultimate custom shoe-fitting experience for the consumer. The system uses the state-of-the-art Volumental scanner to identify the unique characteristics of golfers’ feet such as the length, width, arch and instep to help players find their shoe size in a model that is best suited to their game.
Last year, 2576 golfers across Great Britain and Ireland took the opportunity to be professionally fitted for footwear, with 64% of them discovering they had been wearing the wrong size. This process resulted in a conversion rate of 70% from in-store sales.
The education and shoe fitting events are examples of the investment FootJoy is putting into the game to support the trade, alongside providing the largest collection of tour-proven performance footwear in golf.
Offering both half sizes and multiple width options, FJ make sure every golfer has a shoe option that will guarantee to help them improve their performance on the golf course.
