FOOTJOY EXTENDS ITS LEAD AS THE MOST TRUSTED SHOE AND GLOVE BRAND ON TOUR

Following the conclusion of the DP World and Ladies European Tour seasons, FootJoy has once again cemented its commanding position as the most played and most successful golf shoe and glove brand.

Over 62% of fields on the DP World Tour opted to trust in FJ footwear this season – more than all other shoe brands combined and up from 59%
in 2024. This momentum continued on the LET, where 60% of players relied on FJ, marking a 4% year-over-year increase.

The brand also recorded 29 victories this season, where the strength and depth of the FJ product range was showcased with eight different shoe franchises earning at least one victory – Premiere Series, Traditions, FJ Fuel, Pro/SLX, ProLite, FJ Links, FJ Performa and HyperFlex.

Pemiere Series continues to be the top choice among the world’s best players. Some of the victors this season included Elvis Smylie at the Australian PGA Championship, Thriston Lawrence at the Omega European Masters and Grant Forrest winning on home soil at the Nexo Championship.

After launching in 2025, the newest generation of HyperFlex became a strong favourite among players, with the likes of Lottie Woad, Haotong
Li and 2-time Major Champion Justin Thomas, all switching into the model and having immediate success.

“When testing the model, I noticed that I was actually gaining ball speed due to the shoe’s stability, making it easier for me to generate power from the ground,” said the 2025 Qatar Masters Champion, Haotong Li.

“I saw so many guys put the new HyperFlex into play at the start of the season, so the shoe has clearly been popular among us professionals.”

Momentum continued into the Pro/SLX franchise, where there were wins for Manon de Roey, Johannes Veerman and John Parry, with the latter earning his PGA Tour card after finishing 11th in the Race to Dubai rankings.

FJ Traditions also earned multiple victories this season with Eugenio Chacarra securing a runaway victory at the Hero Indian Open and Alice Hewson going back-to-back at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open.

In the glove category, counts were also up versus 2024, with over half of tournament fields on both Tours trusting in the #1 Glove in Golf.

Winners this season who have relied on a FootJoy glove include Matthew Fitzpatrick, Sara Kouskova, Calum Hill, Daniel Brown, Nastasia Nadaud and Laurie Canter.

“The glove is such an important piece of your golfing equipment and that is why I put my trust in FootJoy,” said the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship winner, Laurie Canter.

“Your grip pressure changes around 4-5 times during your golf swing and when you are playing a sport where being 1-2 degrees out at impact can have great or devastating effects on your round of golf, it is vital to be using equipment you can rely upon.

“If there is an option there that can give you that stability and grip which can help influence that, I am not sure why you would not want to use it.”

This season also saw StaSof keep its title as the most played golf glove on Tour for the 42nd year in a row, with the model also securing 22 tournament victories across 2025.

The FootJoy brand also had eight winners this season choosing to rely upon its performance golf apparel and outerwear, allowing players to play their best no matter the conditions.

LIAM MCDOUGALL, DIRECTOR TOUR PROMOTIONS, SAID:

“It has been a remarkable year for the FJ brand on both the DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour, where the full strength and depth of our performance product range has been well and truly showcased.

“A lot of our success is down to the FJ Product teams who enable us to present outstanding product to the best players in the game. This was demonstrated with the launch of the latest iteration of HyperFlex earlier this year, where we saw a large number of our FJ ambassadors convert into the franchise, thanks to the gains they were able to see in performance.

“Another area where the brand continues to lead from the front is the premium service we are able to offer players. This season on the DP World Tour, we have had members of the FJ Tour team on-site at every single event, which allows us to work closely with players and use in-depth data to ensure they are wearing the right footwear size and model to help them optimise performance on the golf course.

“With the new season now officially under way, the FJ team look forward to carrying on supporting the world’s best players and showcase why FootJoy continues to be the #1 Shoe and #1 Glove in golf.”
