ECCO GOLF PARTNERS WITH PATRICK KOENIG AHEAD OF CHARITY WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT

Danish footwear brand, ECCO GOLF, has announced a partnership with photographer, influencer, and all-round golf-enthusiast Patrick Koenig, ahead of his mammoth attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most 18-hole golf courses played in a calendar year.

Koenig is attempting to play a whopping 500 courses over the course of 2023 in an attempt to break the current World Record, set at 449 golf courses way back in 2009. Throughout the World Record attempt, Koenig will be wearing ECCO GOLF shoes, and plans to walk every one of the 500 courses he plays.

The monumental endeavour, named ‘The RGV Tour 2.0’ will be in aid of a very worthy cause, as Koenig aims to raise $100,000 for The First Tee, a youth development organisation that empowers youngsters through the game of golf.

Commenting on the exciting new partnership, Koenig said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be partnering with ECCO GOLF ahead of the RGV Tour 2.0. The second edition of the Tour has been a couple of years in the making, and to be able to partner with a brand like ECCO is fantastic.

“500 golf courses is no small feat, so it’s important that I’ve got the right footwear to keep going. ECCO GOLF shoes fit the bill perfectly, and I know that I’m in ‘safe feet’ so to speak!”

Known globally for comfort, performance, style, ECCO GOLF shoes will be keeping Koenig on track, every step of the way. “We’re really proud to be partnering with Patrick ahead of his World Record attempt in 2023,” commented Timo Vollrath, Marketing Manager at ECCO GOLF.

“It’s a great opportunity not only to support Patrick during a year in which he will spend a lot of time in his golf shoes, but also to support a great cause in The First Tee. We wish Patrick the very best and look forward to seeing him smash the World Record!”

Koenig will be documenting his journey across the USA on his Instagram account, which can be found here, and on his dedicated website, which can be found here.
