To mark the 2022 World Wildlife Day, luxury golf shoe brand Duca del Cosma is introducing two new ladies golf shoes – the KING CHEETAH WHITE and KING CHEETAH LENTE – that will see even more donations go towards the conservation of Africa’s fastest and rarest cat.
Both designs feature the dazzling King Cheetah markings on soft Italian suede leather against a clean white outer for a supremely refreshing look. The WHITE model incorporates the striking print on the heel and brand logo to the side, while the LENTE shoe features the markings on the upper and tongue. Both shoes have gold eyelets for added sparkle.
In contrast, the original KING CHEETAH shoe – a Bronze winner in the 2021 Global Footwear Awards – incorporates a predominantly black and King Cheetah print design to deliver a daring appearance. It is also a top-selling shoe model for the brand.
“We are extremely proud to be introducing two more KING CHEETAH shoes on World Wildlife Day and further support the conservation of the rare animal,” said Caroline van Wezel, joint Owner of Duca del Cosma.
The inspiration behind the original shoe transpired when Caroline visited the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC) and saw a King Cheetah for the first time. She also met the sanctuary’s founder – Lente Roode – and wanted to support the conservation efforts by adopting a cub named DUCA and promoting a ladies golf shoe that would raise vital funds.
“The HESC sanctuary is devoted to the conservation of the rare King Cheetah and we were blown away by the incredible work that Lente and her team do. With the help of women golfers around the world we are able to make a difference to its survival,” she added.
The highly distinctive KING CHEETAH shoes feature a waterproof sock system with OnSteam® recyclable microfibre, highly breathable insert soles, plus super comfortable memory foam and a heel support made from recycled cork. The shoes also incorporate the Airplay VII outsole with stars embedded across the functional nubs. There is also a matching kiltie for those golfers looking to add even more flare to the animal print shoes.
World Wildlife Day is an annual event that takes place internationally on 3 March and aims to drive the need to reverse the fate of some of the most critically endangered species on the planet, with the ultimate goal of recovering key species for ecosystem restoration.
A percentage of the sales value of the KING CHEETAH shoes will go to supporting the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC) in South Africa.
The global brand sells its premium shoes in 40 different countries and operates from four offices around the world – The Netherlands (HQ), United States, United Kingdom and South Africa. For more information, please visit www.ducadelcosma.com.
