DESERT DELIGHT PATRICK REED CLAIMS SUPERB VICTORY IN DUBAI WITH UNDER ARMOUR CLONE

Former Masters Champion Patrick Reed delivered a peerless and confident display in the United Arab Emirates to seal victory in the Hero Dubai Desert Classic – a performance powered by Under Armour Clone.

The 35-year-old Texan – who recently signed with Under Armour as part of LIV Golf’s 4Aces GC Team alongside two-time Major winner Dustin Johnson, European Ryder Cup player Thomas Pieters and 2025 WM Phoenix Open winner Thomas Detry – was able to close out a dominant win by four shots.

Following rounds of 69, 66 and 67, Reed compiled a controlled even-par 72 over the closing 18 holes, easing home over the back nine and extending his lead as his nearest rivals fell away on the iconic Majlis Course at the Emirates Golf Club.

Reed said: “It’s an incredible feeling to win the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, especially with so many great players in the field. I felt in total control of my game all week, and a big part of that was feeling completely stable and comfortable on my feet.”

Under Armour’s Drive Pro Clone will be released globally on February 6 following an incredible response from Tour players who have previewed the new design.

Under Armour developed the Drive Pro Clone to solve a core challenge in golf footwear: traditional shoes fail to adapt to the natural shape and movement of the golfer’s foot. Its proprietary auxetic Clone upper expands, contracts and shapes itself to each foot for a truly adaptive custom-fit that stays consistent, regardless of fatigue or conditions. Paired with Under Armour’s Swing Support System, Drive Pro Clone enhances stability and delivers more repeatable power on every swing.

Reed added: “I put the Drive Pro Clone straight into play after trying it last week and it felt locked-in from the first shot.

“The traction through the outsole and spike configuration gave me total confidence to go after shots, even under pressure.

“When you feel so secure over the ball, it frees you up to swing aggressively and commit to every shot. For me, that made a real difference this week. It is exciting to get my first win with Under Armour on my feet, and I genuinely believe Clone is a game changer.”

Alongside putting Under Armour’s new Drive Pro Clone straight into competition, Reed also trusted the performance of Under Armour’s outstanding Spring/Summer 2026 apparel range throughout the week in Dubai. The collection includes the new ArmourDry Polo, designed to keep golfers cool, dry and comfortable in all conditions, providing lightweight breathability and moisture management in the desert heat.

Sean Eggert of Under Armour said: “This is another statement victory for Under Armour and our new Drive Pro Clone, which is set to be fully released to market on February 6.
“This is not the first success we have enjoyed with Drive Pro Clone, following Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen’s stunning maiden DP World Tour win in Australia in December, and we truly believe that the performance levels players can enjoy from Clone can help to prove the difference at the elite level of our sport.

“We are proud to support Patrick in our newly signed partnership with 4Aces GC as an Under Armour athlete, as well as supporting him as a global ambassador and a leading figure in golf.”
