CALLAWAY LAUNCHES NEW APEX UW AND APEX UT

Callaway has expanded its Apex family with two new long-game options – the Apex UW and Apex UT – engineered with tour feedback to deliver precision, speed and versatility for better players.

The Apex UW (Utility Wood) is designed to combine the high launch and power of a fairway wood with the control and workability of a hybrid. Built with a compact, tour-inspired profile, it promotes a neutral ball flight and confidence from both the tee and the turf.

A key innovation is the Tungsten Speed Wave, a dynamic 41g+ tungsten structure positioned low and forward in the head to maintain speed and optimise launch, particularly on low-face strikes. A new Step Sole Design reduces turf drag to preserve swing speed through impact, helping players achieve more consistent contact across different lies. Meanwhile, the Triaxial Carbon Crown allows for weight redistribution to increase forgiveness while refining spin and launch conditions for shot-making control.

The Apex UT (Utility Iron) provides a sleek alternative for players who prefer an iron profile but still demand speed and reliability at the top end of the bag. It features Callaway’s most advanced multi-material design to date, led by FLEXCORE Technology. This construction unlocks the face from the sole to enhance face flex, promoting faster ball speeds and greater consistency across the hitting area.

The dedicated Utility Ai Face Design has been engineered specifically for utility irons, delivering distance control and spin consistency with the precision required by elite players. The forged hollow-body construction combines a responsive, solid impact feel with enhanced vibration dampening, offering the feedback of a forged iron without sacrificing forgiveness.

The Apex UW retails at £339 and the Apex UT at £279.

With these additions, Callaway offers golfers two distinct options for fine-tuning the top of their bag: the height and versatility of a utility wood or the precision and speed of a utility iron.
