BUSHNELL THE No.1 LASER RANGEFINDER AT THE 150th OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

Bushnell Golf has remained the preferred distance-measuring device of the world’s greatest players at the 150th Open Championship.

Leading sports research agency Sports Marketing Surveys (SMS), one of the golf industry’s leading independent specialist market research consultancies, reported 95.1 percent of the 2022 Open Championship field used a Bushnell laser rangefinder to obtain accurate yardages. Additionally, survey statistics also showed Bushnell remains the firm choice of caddies with 96.1% using a Bushnell rangefinder at the event in St Andrews, Scotland.
Surveying 156 players at The 150th Open Championship, 135 players stated that they were using a Bushnell device at the final Major of the season. Since measuring device usage recording began in 2006, Bushnell has claimed the top spot among Tour players every year, and once again with one of the most competitive fields in golf, Bushnell has been crowned the distance measuring device of choice for Tour Players.

Bushnell Golf has continued to revolutionize golf laser rangefinders. Constantly thinking outside the box, Bushnell’s innovation and advanced technology now includes Slope with Elements that accounts for incline/decline, barometric pressure and temperature to provide golfers the most precise compensated distances needed to execute precise shots and capture victories.

“Our mission is to provide the best distance measuring devices for golfers. The SMS Open Survey confirms Bushnell laser rangefinders are definitively the most trusted brand on Tour,” said Derek Schuman, Senior Brand Manager at Bushnell Golf. “Our dominance in the market extends beyond professional golfers as well, as nearly 7 out of every 10 laser rangefinders sold around the world are Bushnell. We created the golf measuring device category more than 25 years ago and have led the way in innovation ever since.”

Darren Bragg, Bushnell’s EMEA Commercial Manager commented: “It is great to see that such an overwhelming number of both players and caddies continue to trust Bushnell Golf at such an iconic event as the 150th Open at St Andrews.”

The Bushnell Pro XE is the most advanced laser rangefinder in the world and the preferred model used by Tour players. Two other laser rangefinders the Tour V5 Slim and Tour V5 Shift Slim also offer Bushnell quality and accuracy at lower price points.

In addition, Bushnell Golf has a stable of GPS distance measuring devices including the Phantom 2 Slope GPS Unit and the ION Edge GPS Watch that provide the most accurate yardage readings and improve the games of golfers of all abilities.
