Relying on the exceptional stability of FJ HyperFlex, Bryson DeChambeau claimed his second U.S. Open title after a one-shot victory at Pinehurst No.2.
DeChambeau started the final round with a three-shot lead and despite charges from the chasing pack on Sunday, the 30 year-old held on to triumph in North Carolina.
On his way to victory, the American relied on the athletic performance of FootJoy’s HyperFlex golf shoe, purposely designed to empower the golfer athlete.
FootJoy has been leading the way in the athletic shoe sphere using market-leading technology and premium materials in order to expand the influence of what a performance shoe can achieve. HyperFlex’s supreme stability comes from the OptiFlex outsole design, delivering Tour-level performance whilst the ThermoPlastic saddle strap wraps the foot to provide additional lateral and medial support allowing golfers to maximise power through the golf swing.
DeChambeau depended on this stability throughout the week in being able to manage his fast clubhead speeds which saw him lead the driving distance statistics averaging 337.9 yards of the tee.
Relying on the exceptional stability of FJ HyperFlex, Bryson DeChambeau claimed his second U.S. Open title after a one-shot victory at Pinehurst No.2.
“HyperFlex is Tour-proven delivering unquestioned innovation, comfort, stability and a visual design aesthetic that celebrates performance technology for the golfer athlete,” said Patrick Trubiano, Director of Product Management, FJ Footwear.
“This product really is perfect for those golfers looking to add more power to their game.”
It is not just DeChambeau who trusts HyperFlex, with many other professionals across the
worldwide tours relying on the performance attributes that the model has to offer.
“At the start of the year, I made a few changes, including my footwear,” said world number 23, Cameron Young. “I worked closely with the Team at FootJoy to test several pairs and ultimately made the move to HyperFlex as I find the shoe extremely comfortable and have a great, athletic look. I think they fit my game extremely well.”
These comments were echoed by 3x DP World Tour winner, Antoine Rozner, who praised the shoe’s exceptional stability.
“They offer me that extra bit of stability which helps me with my golf swing especially when making those bigger turns into the golf ball,” said Rozner.
“Comfort and stability are the most important aspects for what I look for in a golf shoe which is why I choose HyperFlex, plus they have the benefit of looking great too!”
At the 124th U.S. Open in North Carolina, the vast majority of the field (49%) chose to put their trust in the #1ShoeinGolf, more than three times the nearest competitor coming in at 16%.
