BOLD COLOURS, ELEVATED FABRICS AND STRIKING PRINTS HEADLINE SS25 FOR MEN AT ORIGINAL PENGUIN GOLF

Original Penguin Golf®, known for its unique, novelty and detail-oriented clothing, has revealed its new Spring/Summer 25 Collection for Men.

Key influences for the striking new line take inspiration from European destinations and vacations and the Mediterranean lifestyle and associated locations.

Bold colours and striking prints, iconic to Original Penguin Golf, drive a playful narrative in a series of trademark Polos with standout conversational prints featuring ‘Pete the Penguin’ always taking centre-stage. The collection also benefits from archival material from the past, adding geo conversationals and new printed, directional engineered techniques.

Colours in the first men’s golf delivery consists of aquatic inspired pool blue, quiet harbour (a new shade of indigo with trans-seasonal and cross-over appeal) and chambray pink. The colour palette in the second delivery includes murex shell, a new pastel shade of coral and blue grotto, a zesty shade of blue that provides a clean approach when mixed with refined resort neutrals like brown granite and sandshell.

These colours are grounded with essential colours like black iris navy and bright white. The third golf delivery becomes brighter and more saturated by using Mediterranean inspired French blue softened with spruce stone, a quiet tone of green with touches of pale marigold, grounded in black iris and bright white.

Fabric technology and precise detailing remain important ingredients in the performance and appeal of all Original Penguin Golf apparel. Elevated 4-way stretch in Polos offers cool-to-the-touch, premium fabrics in high-gauge poly/elastane blends that are breathable, anti-wrinkle and sustainable.

New collar finishes in addition to self-collars, reflect Penguin’s heritage intarsia collars whereas texture is also key with new rib-base fabrics, new ventilated textures, plus new crinkle cargo texture and jacquard texture in fashion shorts.

Original Penguin Golf® has a growing influence on the professional stage. Ambassadors include former Open Champion, Cameron Smith, plus a host of other Tour players, including Jake Knapp and Nico Echavarria on the PGA Tour, and the newly-signed German, Esther Henseleit on the LPGA Tour.

European Brand Director, Helen Willsmer, commented: “Original Penguin Golf® has never looked stronger than SS25, in that everything that is great about the brand and is continuing to drive significant sales growth, comes together in a celebration of summer vibes and colour palettes, in a very unique way, which our network of retail partners and their loyal customers are sure to love.”

How it all began…

In 1955, a sportswear icon was born from the most unusual of places. Fuelled by whisky, Abbot Pederson purchased an unlikely drinking buddy for his flight home in the form of a stuffed penguin he named Pete.

A quip from a stewardess led Pederson to embroider the character on his new shirts and Pete has gone on to leave his mark on a league of legends. For over 60 years the namesake bird has been adored by the masters of leisure and sport to define itself as an American classic. Today, the Penguin icon still stands as a signal for those who know how to be an original.

Original Penguin by Munsingwear®

In 1955, Minneapolis-based Munsingwear® – an underwear and military supply company – ironically became the touchstone of suburban sport with the introduction of the first iconic golf shirt to America – an ORIGINAL PENGUIN®. Known for its unique, humorous and detail-oriented clothing, Original Penguin® offers a full range of men’s and children’s clothing, accessories and fragrances.
