Titleist was one of the big winners at 2017’s edition of the Foremost Golf Industry Awards, claiming both the Ball Model of the Year award for the Titleist Pro V1 and Wedge Model of the Year for the Vokey Design SM6. The awards were of extra importance as they were voted as for by the Foremost professionals who make up the UK’s largest buyer and seller of golf products.
There was also success at the ceremony for Titleist Brand Ambassador, Justin Thomas, who relies upon the Pro V1x and a full bag of Titleist clubs. In recognition of his triumphant season, in which he claimed five PGA Tour titles and achieved a maiden Major breakthrough at the US PGA Championship the American humbly accepted the Golfer of the Year Award via a video link.
“We are delighted to have picked up two accolades in this year’s Foremost Golf Awards, recognising the excellence of our industry leading products,” commented Matthew Johnson, Titleist Brand Director. “We are continuously developing equipment in line with feedback from golfers at every level of the game, including club professionals, and these award wins as voted by Foremost members, validate our continued commitment in providing the best performing balls and clubs in the game.”
Andy Martin, Foremost Managing Director, said: “We’d like to congratulate Titleist on yet another successful year, which has seen our partnership with the brand and the support given to our members soar. Winning these two accolades is testament to their dedication and expertise. We look forward to continuing our close working relationship in 2018.”
In a year when other manufacturers golf ball models have received a lot of hype and Direct To Consumer golf balls have been making an impact, the professionals and consumers alike still continue to trust Titleist over all their competitor’s golf balls.
