PETER MILLAR have created their best ever High Summer/Fall collection, built around two strong drops in July and September.
July
Peter Millar’s latest High Summer/Fall collection delivers a fresh take on golf apparel, blending bold new colours with a refined approach to patterns and timeless sophistication. Across both the Crown Sport and Crown Crafted collections, this season’s range is designed to offer a breadth of new colours throughout the whole season, capturing the essence of those dying days of summer whilst bringing in those winter staples we all need in our wardrobe.
The Crown Sport polos feature vibrant hues like Seaport Blue, a bright and striking shade, and Tango Pink, an energetic yet versatile colour. These statement tones are supported by neutral blues from the essentials line, making it easy for retailers to create a visually appealing summer range. The selection continues to offer soft-touch jersey fabrics alongside mesh based shirts that provide a traditional pique feel. The range includes a variety of stripe designs, and continues a refreshed direction in patterns—cleaner, more geometric, and neatly repeated motifs. As patterns have become more prevalent, standing out has become increasingly difficult. Peter Millar is embracing this challenge, striking a balance between fresh, engaging unique designs and a return to more classic, sophisticated aesthetics.
This philosophy carries into the Crown Crafted collection, which presents a strong and elegant colour palette. Blue Topaz pairs seamlessly with Barley, a neutral, sandstone-inspired shade that has seen success in high-street fashion and is now making its mark in golf apparel. The result is a refined July range that enhances both collections with a timeless yet contemporary feel.
Beyond polos, mid-layers take centre stage with the introduction of the Ardentair quarter-zip. This fleece piece is modelled after the best-selling Perth quarter-zip but with a slightly heavier weight, making it perfect for the later months of the season. Its luxurious fleece exterior provides an immediate tactile appeal, and at a competitive price point of £125, it strikes the perfect balance between premium quality and accessibility. Available in four quarter-zip colours and two hoodie options, the Ardentair is set to be a must-have addition to any golfer’s wardrobe this season.
September
The September drop offers updated hybrid jackets, premium cashmere pieces, and a refined approach to mid-layers, enhancing both performance and style.
The Merge Jacket remains a key hybrid golf piece, now featuring subtler branding on the side entry pocket for a cleaner look that enhances cresting possibilities. The exterior has been softened, and flexible side panels improve movement while playing. Stitch detailing has been minimised for a modern, streamlined appearance, while the core membrane system retains warmth without adding weight. The tagline “warmth without weight” encapsulates its appeal for golfers in cooler conditions.
A major addition is the Apex Quilted Jacket, expanding on the success of previous pieces like the All-Course vest and Apex full-zip hoodie. This new jacket offers enhanced warmth with flexible panels on the shoulders and sides for improved mobility, making it the warmest jacket designed specifically for golf.
Completing the technical range is the Vail Half-Zip, a heavier alternative to the traditional quarter-zip. With a fleece lining for superior warmth and wind-resistant padding through the chest, it’s perfect for layering over a long-sleeve polo. The soft-hand exterior, resembling fine wool, provides an elevated yet practical finish, filling the gap left by traditional lined sweaters.
Peter Millar is also reviving its heritage with the launch of a new cashmere collection. Crafted from 15.5-micron Italian Cashmere, the Heritage Family collection includes V-neck and hoodie options. Competitive pricing—£275 for the V-neck and £295 for the hoodie—makes luxury more accessible, with the hoodie proving particularly strong in pre-orders.
The collection’s autumnal colour palette is another standout feature, reflecting the latest fashion trends. Key shades include deep greens like Nordic Pine, neutral browns such as Poplar, and rich autumnal tones like Rosewood. This sophisticated mix of earthy notes reinforces Peter Millar’s commitment to timeless style, ensuring golfers look and feel their best both on and off the course. GR
