WORLD NO.1 WINS THIRD MAJOR WITH PRO V1 AND VOKEY WEDGES

Playing his Titleist golf ball and set of Vokey Design wedges, the World No. 1 added another page to the history books Sunday at Quail Hollow, closing out his third major championship while in complete control of his Pro V1.

In earning his 15th PGA TOUR victory, the 2025 PGA Champion led the field with nearly 15 strokes gained tee to green (+14.236), including more than four strokes in each category, on his way to the five-shot victory. He gained +4.094 off the tee (8th), +5.307 on approach shots (8th) and +4.833 around the green (5th).

The champion – who has used a Pro V1 golf ball and Vokey gap, sand and lob wedges to win each of his 15 PGA TOUR titles, including two Masters and one PGA Championship – posted rounds of 69-68-65-71 while becoming the first player in over 40 years to win each of his first three majors by three strokes or more.

PGA CHAMPION WINS 3RD MAJOR WITH VOKEY WEDGES

In addition to his Pro V1 golf ball, the winner of the PGA Championship brought three Vokey Design wedges to the winner’s circle: Vokey Design SM8 50.12F, 56.14F and SM10 60.06K.

The victory marks his third major title and 15th PGA TOUR win, all of which have come with a similar three-Vokey setup.

The latest addition to the World No. 1’s wedge setup is the SM10 60.06K lob wedge he put in play in his last start at the CJ CUP. He has now won his first two events with the new lob wedge, which features the same Low Bounce K Grind with which he used to win the 2022 Masters.

He moved from the K Grind to a T Grind in late 2022, using the T to win nine times including his second Masters title in 2024.

The SM10 60.06K Grind that’s now in the bag features a wider sole that excels from the bunkers but still delivers the greenside versatility of a low bounce wedge.

“The 6-degree K Grind lives in the bags of some of the world’s best,” said Vokey Tour Representative Aaron Dill. “It has always been known as the ultimate bunker club. However, when you ask players on tour why they play the .06K Grind, they will tell you not only do they love the performance in the bunkers, but they love the way the leading edge hugs the ground when pitching and chipping.”

This season, the winner ranks first on the PGA TOUR in Scrambling, getting up-and-down for par at a 71 percent clip.
