WOMEN’S OPEN CHAMPION CHOOSES NIPPON SHAFT

The winner of the 2022 AIG Women’s Open at Muirfield used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO 950GH neo steel shafts in her irons and N.S.PRO 950GH steel shafts in her wedges to earn her first major victory and her first win on the LPGA Tour.

The 33-year-old South African sealed the victory with a par on the fourth hole of a sudden death playoff at the prestigious Scottish course and earned $1.1 million for finishing first. In regulation play, she shot 10-under par with rounds of 70-65-64-75—274, tying with one other player.

“Nippon Shaft congratulates the winner of the Women’s Open,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “We are pleased that she feels she can rely on Nippon Shaft products, which are the highest quality shafts in the industry.”

More than 200 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, DP World Tour and Korn Ferry Tour use Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ series steel shafts to help gain their desired distance, accuracy, and trajectory.

Nippon Shaft products are available globally either as stock or custom shafts in many of the world’s top iron brands. Details of these can be found at www.nipponshaft.com
