UNDER ARMOUR’S DRIVE PRO CLONE POWERS RASMUS NEERGAARD-PETERSEN TO PGA TOUR IN 2026

Denmark’s Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen wrapped up a hugely successful maiden season on the DP World Tour by claiming his PGA Tour card for 2026 after a thrilling back-nine display in Dubai, a performance powered by Under Armour’s new Drive Pro Clone.

Heading into the final round of the DP World Tour Championship in a tie for first place alongside Rory McIlroy, the 26-year-old produced a brilliant closing stretch, covering the back nine in just 31 shots.

Neergaard-Petersen sprung into action with a superb eagle at the 14th hole, followed by birdies at 15 and 17, before closing out the round with another birdie on the par-5 18th to finish in a tie for third place.

The Challenge Tour graduate, making his first appearance at the Earth Course’s showpiece event, once again showed that he has the game to mix it with the world’s best players. His back-nine surge lit up an already thrilling finale and proved enough for the Dane to secure his playing rights on the PGA Tour next year. It has been some rise, from the Challenge Tour to the PGA Tour in just two seasons, supporting and trusting Under Armour throughout his 2025 campaign.

The performance was another statement of intent from one of the most promising young players on the DP World Tour, while showcasing one of the most anticipated shoe models in the golf space, with Under Armour’s Drive Pro Clone set to officially launch in February 2026.

Neergaard-Petersen first tested the Drive Pro Clone earlier this year during a full fitting session at the Under Armour Performance Centre at Stoke Park, where he went through Under Armour’s proprietary Footwear Optimisation Process, a detailed system designed to identify the ideal footwear solution based on individual pressure patterns and performance needs.

Impressed by the performance gains and outstanding comfort, he put the shoes into play for the first time at the Alfred Dunhill Links and continued to trust them throughout the rest of the season, including at the season-ending Tour Championship.

“I was blown away by the performance when I first tested them,” Rasmus said. “The fit
and stability were on another level from anything I’d worn before.”

For Neergaard-Petersen, the blend of stability, traction and all-day comfort has made
Clone a natural part of his set-up as he closed out his strongest season to date.
