TWO NEW WINNERS CROWNED AT 2025 FOREMOST ASSISTANT PROFESSIONALS’ CHAMPIONSHIP

The Foremost Assistant Professionals’ Championship in June broke records once again with a full 144-player field and two emphatic wins from Jordan Ryan (Parc Golf Club) and Reece Samson (Kingswood Golf Centre). Callaway ensured the day was a resounding success as headline sponsors of the event, while two new winners were crowned at The Oxfordshire.

Reece Samson dazzled with a 6-under 66, winning the Assistant Professionals’ event by 3 shots ahead of Ian Ridgeway (Competitive Edge) and Ben Hall (Rushcliffe Hall). Samson earned a £1,000 prize, and a full staff playing commitment from Callaway for 2026, including a full bag and a year’s supply of golf balls.

“The Foremost Assistant Professionals’ Championship was amazing, it was one of the most enjoyable competitions that I have played in as a professional”, added Reece Samson.

“I can’t thank Foremost enough for putting the event together. The Oxfordshire is such a great golf course that we get to play for free, with the opportunity to play for some great prizes! We’re very fortunate to be working with Foremost, and I am extremely grateful to Callaway for the gift bag for each player, their charitable donations and their constant help for golf professionals.”

Callaway joined Foremost in their charitable exploits once again at the 2025 Assistant Professionals’ Championship, donating £10 per birdie to the Alzheimer’s Society, resulting in a £2,440 contribution from the event.

For the first time, the Women’s Event was held within the Assistant Professionals’ Championship. Jordan Ryan (Parc Golf Club) not only won the women’s title outright at +2, but also finished T16 overall—a fantastic showing in a mixed field. With a boosted prize fund and the opportunity for female participants to compete in and win both competitions, the Foremost Championships are seeing a growing number of female entrants year after year.

“It was my first time at the Assistant Professionals’ Championship, and it was such a great day from start to finish” added Jordan Ryan.

“As a Callaway ambassador I am grateful for their help year-round, and even more so during the Championships week, with the juice bar, barbecue and putting competition after the round! I’d especially like to thank the Foremost team for such a well-organised event. It was great to compete against the guys, and there were so many prizes to win! I jumped at the opportunity to play such a fantastic course and to finish T16 in such a talented field is a great honour for me.”

“Huge congratulations to Reece and Jordan for their respective wins”, commented Ian Melham, Head of Membership Services at Foremost Golf.

“The core of what we do at Foremost comes down to support, and the incredible turnout for this event coupled with Callaway’s input as headline sponsor made for a fantastic showing at The Oxfordshire. We’re excited to do it all again next year!”
