Tour Edge wins awards

American club manufacturer Tour Edge is now on full release in the UK. Illinois-based Tour Edge received awards for six of its clubs in the Golf Digest Hot List for 2014 with two gold and four silver medals in the magazine’s annual benchmark supplement.

The XCG7/XCG7 Beta fairway wood received gold medals, while the CB PRO fairway wood, XCG7/XCG7 Beta hybrids and the XCG7 irons achieved silver. The gold-medal-winning XCG7 fairway wood features a lower profile and larger club head. The XCG7 Beta model, the second gold-medal winner, has a deep face and a smaller head to promote a more boring trajectory. Prices start at £149, for the hybrids; £219, fairway woods; £299, drivers.

David Glod, founder, president and chief designer of Tour Edge Golf, said, “This year we had our best results with six medals in three categories. This is a true testament that our product designs and technologies are of the highest quality. Our Exotics brand continues to grow as one of the most technologically supreme club manufacturers, and we will always continue to build on that.”
