Titleist claims #1 ball, driver, iron and wedge for the DP World Tour season

Titleist has been confirmed as the #1 ball, driver, iron and wedge on the DP World Tour for the 2022/23 season.

Across nearly 50 events, starting with the Australian PGA Championship in November 2022 up to this week’s DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, more players put their trust in Titleist than any other brand*.

Throughout the season Titleist golf balls were played by 72% of the field – the nearest competitor had 11%.

The start of 2023 saw the introduction of the all-new Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls which were put into play immediately by dozens of players.

Winners during the season included Adrian Meronk (Pro V1) who claimed victories at the Australian Open, Italian Open and the Andalucia Masters, Ludvig Aberg (Pro V1x) at the European Masters and Matt Fitzpatrick (Pro V1x) at the Alfred Dunhill Links.

Wyndham Clark (Pro V1x) and Brian Harman (Pro V1) also claimed maiden major victories at the US Open and The Open respectively.

The momentum behind Titleist drivers continued following the introduction of the TSR models in 2022 with 37% of players during the season teeing it up with a Titleist driver – the nearest competitor had 28%.

Winners included Antoine Rozner (TSR3) at the Mauritius Open, Daniel Hillier (TSR3) at the British Masters, Todd Clements (TSR3) at the Czech Masters, Vincent Norrman (TSR3) at the Irish Open and Max Homa (TSR3) at the Nedbank Golf Challenge.

It was a similar story for Titleist irons where the new T-Series range was debuted at the British Masters in June.

Nearly 35% of DP World Tour players put their trust in Titleist irons during the course of the season, the nearest competitor had 23%.

Players who put the new T-Series into play immediately included Jordan Smith, Antoine Rozner, Grant Forrest, Nathan Kimsey and Tom Kim who have all made it into the field for this week’s DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

Titleist continues to dominate the wedge category with over 50% of the wedges in play at DP World Tour events being Vokey Design Wedges – more than all other brands combined.

Liam McDougall, Titleist Director Tour Promotions, said: “The momentum we have seen across all product categories speaks volumes to the relentless pursuit of better from the Titleist R&D teams.

“And it has been incredibly rewarding to see so many players put their trust in our products as they look to compete on the world’s biggest stages.

“But it’s not just about fantastic products. The passion, dedication and service provided by our team week-in, week-out on the DP World Tour is what sets us apart.

“As well as success with our staff players, we’ve seen unprecedented numbers of non-contracted players reach out to us and they too have had great success which is the ultimate validation for Titleist products.”
