Titleist enjoyed a standout weekend across the professional game, with its golf balls helping secure victories at the PGA TOUR’s season-ending TOUR Championship, the Husqvarna British Masters and the KPMG Women’s Irish Open.
The World No.1 capped another dominant PGA TOUR season by claiming the TOUR Championship and his second FedExCup title at East Lake Golf Club.
Playing a Titleist Pro V1 golf ball alongside three Vokey Design wedges, he finished on 16-under 264 to secure a three-shot victory and his 22nd PGA TOUR title.
His performance was built around outstanding approach play. The World No.1 ranked first in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green at +7.804 and led the field in approach play, while hitting 79% of greens in regulation. He also ranked second in proximity to the hole at an average of 30ft 4in and made 21 birdies.
Pro V1 players filled the first three positions on the final leaderboard, with Viktor Hovland finishing second and Ryan Gerard third.
The victory completed another strong FedExCup season for Titleist. Across the 37 events, Titleist golf ball players recorded 26 victories, compared with four for the nearest competitor.
Titleist was also the most played golf ball brand on the PGA TOUR, with 3,067 balls put into play, representing 71% of the total. The company was the most played driver brand for the eighth consecutive FedExCup season, while Titleist irons topped the count for a 13th straight season.
Vokey Design accounted for 52% of all gap, sand and lob wedges played during the season, with Vokey players collecting 22 victories.
DEAN CLAIMS BREAKTHROUGH BRITISH MASTERS WIN
There was also home success at The Belfry, where England’s Joe Dean produced a spectacular final-round 63 to win the Husqvarna British Masters and claim his maiden DP World Tour title.
Dean started Sunday behind the leaders but produced a flawless nine-under-par final round to finish on 14-under 274 and win by three shots.
His approach play proved decisive, with Dean gaining 8.28 strokes on the field with his irons during the week. He hit 76% of greens in regulation and finished tied for first with 22 birdies.
Dean’s victory also continued an impressive run since switching to Titleist’s Pro V1x Double Dot golf ball earlier this season.
The Englishman first tested the model at the Titleist Performance Centre at Woburn after looking for a way to reduce excessive spin, particularly when playing into the wind.
“I was struggling with spin in windy conditions, just really losing it into wind,” said Dean. “The spin rates were a lot less and trying to shape the ball it was almost holding the line, so even when you overshaped it, it seemed to hold its line better on the descent. It was just a really easy switch.”
Since putting Pro V1x Double Dot into play at the Soudal Open, Dean has recorded three top-nine finishes and four top-12 results from nine starts, while making eight cuts.
That run includes a tied-third finish at the KLM Open, ninth at the BMW International Open and victory in the Last Chance Qualifier at Royal Birkdale to earn his place in The Open Championship.
“It was mainly the into-wind shots,” Dean added. “I found that I could hit a stock iron shot and the wind wouldn’t affect it as much. I was able to drop one club and just hit a stock shot, it never seemed to balloon, and the distance was pretty much spot on.”
Pro V1x Double Dot was originally developed as a prototype for players generating particularly high levels of speed and spin. Cameron Young used the ball to win the 2025 Wyndham Championship before adding victories at THE PLAYERS and Cadillac Championship in 2026.
Gary Woodland, Ben James, Christo Lamprecht, Marco Penge and Neal Shipley are among the other players currently using the model in competition.
Titleist dominated the golf ball count at The Belfry, with 116 players – 74% of the field – using a Pro V1 or Pro V1x model. Eleven Titleist golf ball players eventually finished inside the top 14.
ALEXANDER EXTENDS LET ORDER OF MERIT LEAD
Titleist’s winning weekend continued at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, where Brand Ambassador Casandra Alexander completed a wire-to-wire victory at The K Club.
The South African opened with a bogey-free nine-under 63 and followed with rounds of 66, 69 and 70 to finish on 20-under 268, three shots clear of the field.
Alexander made 23 birdies and two eagles during the week to secure her second Ladies European Tour title and extend her advantage at the top of the LET Order of Merit.
Her winning bag featured equipment throughout the Titleist family, including a Pro V1 golf ball, new GTS2 9° driver, GT280 13° mini driver, GT2 18° fairway wood, T250 4-iron and T100 5-PW irons.
Alexander completed the setup with Vokey Design SM11 wedges in 48.10F, 54.10S and 60.06K specifications and a Scotty Cameron Phantom 7.5 putter.
The three victories completed a successful weekend for Titleist across the PGA TOUR, DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour.
