Fujikura, the leader in performance golf shafts, was honored to be the #1 driver and wood shaft on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour last week. This included a victory for both tournament winners, who each used all Fujikura driver and wood shafts in their bag on the way to victory.
At the second leg of the FedEx Cup at the BMW Championship, Fujikura was once again the #1 driver and wood shaft for the event. In total, over 42.0% of the field used a Fujikura driver shaft with another 38.1% of the field using a Fujikura wood shaft.
These statistics also included the eventual winner, who used a combination of Fujikura driver and wood shafts during the week. Using the Speeder 661 TR in his driver and VENTUS Blue 7-X in his fairway wood, the PGA Tour champion sealed his victory with a course record 61 on Sunday.
The winner completed the week as #1 ranked player in Accuracy Off the Tee and #2 in Strokes Gained Off the Tee. Overall, this was the 21st win of the year for a player using a Fujikura driver shaft on the PGA Tour.
On the DP World Tour at the ISPS Handa World Invitational, Fujikura dominated the field with another #1 spot in the driver and wood shaft counts. In total, 41.0% of the field used a Fujikura driver shaft with another 36.2% using a Fujikura wood shaft. This also included the winner in Northern Ireland, who used the VENTUS Blue 6-X in his driver and VENTUS Blue 7-X in his fairway wood.
Over on the PGA Tour Champions at the Shaw Charity Classic, Fujikura grabbed another driver shaft win. Using the Speeder Blue NX 6-S in his driver, the PGA Tour Champions winner claimed his title by one-shot in Canada.
