TaylorMade driver wins third award

TaylorMade has won a trio of awards for its SLDR driver. The latest accolade is the Gold Award and best overall score in ‘Today’s Golfer 2014 Driver Tests’. The test placed the SLDR with the best cumulative scores across Looks, Feel, Performance, Sound and Forgiveness with a total of 45 points out of a possible 50. The test panel made up of a range of golfers with mixed handicaps, put 27 drivers through their paces at The Belfry and were impressed with the low and forward centre of gravity technology.

The latest award follows the SLDR being awarded ‘2014 Most Wanted Driver’ in the MyGolfSpy awards and also becoming the only driver to earn full marks, scoring 20 out of 20 in the 2014 ‘Golf Digest Hotlist’ of equipment issue recently.

The SLDR is designed to help a player hit longer, straighter drives by promoting a high launch angle, lower spin-rate and faster ball speed, as part of TaylorMade’s ‘loft up’ policy throughout its family of metalwoods. David Silvers, Managing Director of TaylorMade EMEA said, “The SLDR is an absolute game changer. This is proven by all the recent independent testings, the feedback from our Tour players and from what amateur golfers are telling us.”
