TALON sells out after Scottish Golf Show

Ojee Golf has been inundated with orders for its TALON training aid after its debut at the recent Scottish Golf Show.

The company launched the TALON officially only on March 18 – the first day of the show at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) – and since then has sold its entire first production run.

The company’s founders, father and son Paul and Matt Hulbert, were delighted with the reception the new product received. Ojee Golf chief executive and TALON creator Matt Hulbert said: “Coming off the back of a very successful debut at the PGA Merchandise Show, in January, we’re overwhelmed by the response of the Scottish public to the TALON.

“They’re very knowledgeable golfers and are happy to spend money on something new if they buy into the concept and believe in it. They were very keen to see how it could help and realised and understood the benefits quickly. And that has been reflected in the number of post-show orders we have received. I’m now putting together a second batch. They’re literally all built by hand and the hands belong to me or my father.”

The demand for the product will not go unnoticed by grass-roots club professionals, who are able to sign up to the ‘Ojee Pro Retailer Package’, a special introductory offer which allows pros to purchase three units – including shipping and duty – and receive a demo unit free of charge, all at a special price, with the TALON retailing to the public at £225.

The digital training aid delivers real-time, visual feedback on golf stance, set-up and angles of address, enabling golfers to view their posture and adjust to their optimum position – improving muscle memory, consistency and performance.

Using a digital display unit that attaches to the top of any golf club – together with a separate, wireless back unit – the TALON utilises patent-pending technology to remove guesswork by calculating and displaying four critical angles of address: spine angle, club-shaft angle, club-shaft-to-spine angle, and rotation angle of the club-face.
