A combination of sport, spa and sunbathing helped contribute to an action-packed ‘Summer of Plenty’ for holidaymakers from all over Europe at Spain’s famous La Manga Club this year.
Couples and families from no fewer than 55 different countries headed to the holiday, sports and leisure destination resort in Murcia, south-east Spain, during the school summer holidays to take full advantage of the award-winning facilities available.
Figures announced by the resort for July and August revealed that nearly 2,000 families stayed at La Manga Club during the busiest period of the year, with some 5,000 children taking part in the array of junior camps on offer.
Over the same period, golfers rented out 4,200 golf buggies while playing La Manga Club’s three golf courses and hit a staggering 237,500 golf balls on the driving range.
