Smith signs with Nike

Nike Golf has signed a sponsorship deal with of former Walker Cup player Jordan Smith. The 22-year-old, who plays at Bowood Park Golf Club in Wiltshire, has agreed a multi-year 14-club, head-to-toe deal with the brand. Smith will now play with the Nike Vapor Pro driver and the RZN Black golf ball.

Smith’s started playing golf aged 13. He enrolled in the scholarship programme at Bowood and progressed through the junior ranks, enjoying a successful amateur career during which he won the Brabazon Trophy. He went on to represent Great Britain and Ireland at the 2013 Walker Cup. After recording impressive finishes at the Lyoness Open (T32) and M2M Russian Open (T38) on the European Tour, Smith decided to leave the amateur ranks and turned professional at the back end of 2014.

Commenting Smith said, “Becoming a Nike Golf athlete for me is a recognition of the success I’ve already achieved so far in my career, but also my future potential and I know there is lots of hard work ahead to achieve what I want in the sport.”
