Royal & Awesome scheme to boost Winter golf

Royal & Awesome is on a mission to beat the traditional end of the golf season by brightening up the fairways and keep golfers playing with a winter rewards programme.

In partnership with Golfshake.com, one of the leading digital golf score-tracking systems, Scotland’s funkiest golf clothing company will be rewarding each month’s most active golfers with a raft of winter prizes to help keep golfers enthusiastic, regardless of the weather.

To take part, golfers can sign-up or log-in to Golfshake.com and register a round via the free-to-use score-tracker system or by downloading the app. There will also be prizes for the best winter photos submitted on Royal & Awesome’s Facebook.

Royal & Awesome brand director Graeme Smeaton said: “We know many of our customers keep playing throughout the winter, because there is still loads of fun to be had, despite the grey skies. We’re here to support the golfers who refuse to get discouraged by deteriorating weather – they laugh in face of driving rain, wrap up warm to play frozen courses or fight their way through howling gales – all for the love of the sport.

“This winter, we’re encouraging all golfers to get out there with old man winter and play on, and we’ll be rewarding those who play the most rounds with some ‘Awesome’ prizes. We really hope that our efforts to brighten up grey days with our funky gear will help boost golfers’ morale – we want to see golf clubs thriving, whatever the weather.”
