Royal & Awesome rack up one million video views

Royal & Awesome has combined the talents of Instagram content creators and the reach of their own Facebook community to achieve more than one million video views in the last two months.

The Scottish clothing brand, best known for their funky golf trousers, have collaborated with a small number of Instagram users to create entertaining golf videos that also showcase the brand’s Awesome trews. These videos have featured amazing trick shots, golf related comedy sketches and even a mini golf video, complete with it’s own ‘applause in a can’ sounds track. The videos have then been shared through Royal & Awesome’s Facebook page, which has more than 190,000 Likes.

The brand have shared 12 videos over the last two months, which have been viewed more than one million times and generated tens of thousands of likes, shares and comments. Royal & Awesome’s revenues from Facebook are also up 91 per cent for the last three months compared to the same time last year.

Howard Richards, who joined Royal & Awesome less than three months ago as Digital Growth Manager and led this campaign, said: “It’s a great example of a win/win. There are all of these incredibly talented and creative people, who share our passion for enjoying golf, but they don’t have a scale outlet for the amazing content that they create.

“We have a huge audience of fun-focused golfers, who love this sort of thing. So by bringing the content and the audience together, our fans get entertained, the creators get air time and the message that Royal & Awesome loves fun golf spreads a little further.”
