REPLACEABLE SPIKES ON TOP AT THE GENESIS INVITATIONAL WITH 87% OF THE FIELD TRUSTING SOFTSPIKES

TOUR FLEX PRO

Softspikes® congratulates the winner of The Genesis Invitational, who was wearing replaceable spikes, on securing a 9th PGA Tour title following a majestic 9 under par final round of 62 at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles.

Wearing replaceable Softspikes in his Asics shoes, the 31-year-old former Masters Champion put on an imperious display of golf on the back nine on Sunday afternoon, reeling off 6 birdies to walk away with the title. He becomes the 6th consecutive PGA Tour winner in 2024 to be powered to victory by replaceable traction.

The win also saw the Japanese player surpass the record for wins by Asian-born players on the PGA Tour, move up to 3rd in the FedEx Cup standings and 20th in the Official World Golf Rankings.

With 87% of the field fitting their shoes with replaceable spikes and 47% in Tour Flex Pro, it was also no surprise to see 32 of the top 36 finishers on Sunday choosing replaceable spikes over a spikeless alternative.

Commenting on the win, Joe Henderson, President, Softspikes said, “To win 6 PGA Tour events in a row and have 87% of players at Riviera wearing our products is clear validation of the performance benefits that wearing spikes delivers at the highest echelons of the game.

In addition, it was particularly pleasing to see our pioneering Tour Flex Pro cement its status as the clear #1 spike on Tour, with 47% of players turbo-charging their traction from the get-go on Thursday.”

Tour players change grips and traction regularly based on course conditions, but amateur golfers rarely think about the impact wearing spikes has on consistency and distance. To achieve optimal performance benefits, golfers should be switching up their spikes every 15 rounds.
