Record numbers of Golf Professionals assemble for the Foremost Conference Roadshow 2019

More than 200 golf professionals gathered at venues across the country over the past month as the annual Foremost Conference Roadshow attracted a record number of attendees.

The roadshow offered insight into the group’s performance in 2019, highlighted plans for the coming year and offered crucial business, retail and marketing education, in addition to providing expert tips and advice on social media best practice.

Led by Foremost Managing Director, Andy Martin, with support from the group’s BDC’s (Business Development Consultants) and EMP marketing editors, the roadshow attracted golf pros from venues across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

The seven-stop event begun at The Drift in Surrey on November 7th, before making its way to Kings Norton Golf Club in the West Midlands, Oake Manor Golf Club in Taunton, Ringway Golf Club in Cheshire, Rudding Park Golf Club in North Yorkshire, Stevenage Golf & Conference Centre in Hertfordshire, and finally Duddingston Golf Club in Edinburgh.

Each event began with a presentation from Andy Martin, highlighting business opportunities for members including the demonstration of the group’s powerful ‘Customer Survey’ business tool before expert guest speaker Adam Hull, Social Media Manager at GMS, spoke to the assembled pros about the ever-changing social media landscape and how this can be best utilised to benefit their businesses.

Speaking about the success of the roadshow, Martin said: “It was fantastic to see so many of our pros taking time out of their busy schedules to take on board some key learnings from the year as we head into 2020.

“As a group we always strive to provide the best possible service to our members, and events such as these are an ideal way to explain the array of opportunities available to our members while also providing some best practice education from our team of Business Development Consultants.

“We were delighted to be able to present to more members than ever before over the course of the seven events as the Conference Roadshow concept continues to go from strength to strength.”

Guest speaker Adam Hull gave an insightful presentation on the importance of social media to the modern-day golf professional, highlighting the benefits of utilising the EMP Social Media Solution in tandem with localised content.

“It was great to get a deep insight into the work of Foremost and the real difference that the group is making to its members,” he said. “The EMP SoMe Solution does most of the work on the pro’s behalf, freeing them up to concentrate on other facets of their business.

“The influence of social media in the golf industry continues to grow and the Foremost Roadshow allowed me to pass on some valuable tips and advice on how it can be an effective tool in any golf professional’s armoury.”
