QHotels announces £70,000 golf investment

QHotels has underlined its long-term commitment to delivering a high level of service, quality and value to UK golfers by unveiling a further investment of around £700,000 in its golf facilities.

As part of an on-going group expenditure programme, the UK’s largest golf resort operator has revealed plans to spend a total of £670,000 this year upgrading a range of facilities at its 10 golf resorts across England and Scotland.

At the centre of the new investment is the £500,000 purchase of a new fleet of greenkeeping equipment to ensure QHotels’ 15 courses are maintained to the highest possible standard all-year round.

In addition, the group is investing £50,000 installing new drainage on the first and 15th holes at Dunston Hall in Norwich; £100,000 on a major renovation of the 18th hole at Forest Pines Hotels & Golf Resort in north Lincolnshire; and around £20,000 upgrading the driving range at Belton Woods in Grantham, including the installation of the latest FlightScope launch monitor technology.

John Angus, group director of golf for QHotels, said: “As the UK’s largest golf resort operator, it is imperative that we continue to invest on a regular basis to keep our golf courses and facilities at the high standard that our members and visitors have come to expect.

“The new greenkeeping equipment has been bought to keep the fleet at the highest possible standard while the work taking place at Forest Pines will give the course the finishing hole it deserves. The new drainage at Dunston Hall will make the course more playable in the winter months while Belton Woods’ driving range will become a high-end practice and tuition facility with the money being spent.”

The new expenditure plans are a further illustration of QHotels’ desire to continue offering the best possible service to golf members, visitors and corporate guests.

The multi-award-winning four-star golf group offers tournament and championship-standard courses in 10 unique resort locations across England and Scotland.
