Ping and Titleist help Cañizares to wire-to-wire win

Alejandro Cañizares achieved a wire-to-wire victory at the Trophée Hassan II on 16 March for his second European Tour win. Cañizares is a Ping tour professional and used a G15 Driver 9 and i25 irons playing a Titleist Pro V1x ball to secure the title with a five stroke margin over Andy Sullivan.

The Spaniard closed with a final round 70 to claim his first tournament win in eight years, following a stunning opening round of 62. The victory take Titleist’s 2014 worldwide win count to 29 across worldwide professional tours.

Speaking after his victory, Cañizares  said, “I was very accurate and solid with my irons. I left myself lots of chances and although I did not make all of them, the first day was the key. I putted great the first day, shot ten under and just kept pushing on.”
