PGA Fourball Championship tees up at St Mellion

The PGA Fourball Championship supported by BMW will be held at St Mellion, Cornwall from 20 to 22 August with 60 PGA pro pairings competing in the 54 hole competition, which has total prize money of £35,000.

More than 550 pros will compete in seven UK regional qualifiers to reach the final. The first will be held at Bush Hill Park on 16 June with the remainder taking place at Swindon, Filton, Musselburgh, Headfort and Woodcote Park, with the last one at Woodsome Hall on 31 July.

Sandy Jones, PGA chief executive stated, “The Jack Nicklaus signature course has earned a reputation as one of the most exciting tests of golf in the UK and I know our PGA Members will relish the prospect of showcasing their skills. The fourball format is always popular and thanks to St Mellion and our sponsors I know many will take the opportunity to renew old partnerships and take part.”
