Peter Finch Announces Launch of Finch Golf Media Following Record-Breaking Month

Social media personality and PGA Professional, Peter Finch, has launched Finch Golf Media following the continued success of his social media channels and the beginning of 2020 marking the most successful period since beginning his journey as a content creator in 2014.

Peter’s informative and engaging content continues to resonate with consumers despite the current restrictions due to COVID-19 meaning many golfers have not been able to get out to play on their local courses. In the last year, Peter’s YouTube channel has received over 16,500,000 views, amassing over 140,000,000 minutes of viewing time. During this time, he has also surpassed 265,000 subscribers and now reaches a total audience of almost half a million across all of his channels.

The success comes concurrently with the launch of Finch Golf Media, a partnership between Peter Finch and leading golf marketing agency, Performance54 (P54), which extends the relationship that Pete formed with P54 in 2016. The launch of Finch Golf Media coincided with the appointment of David Barwise as Brand Manager, Finch Golf Media, whilst Jacob Broadbridge joins as a Junior Videographer.

Speaking on the new business venture and recent growth, Peter Finch said: “When I started my journey on YouTube, I was unsure as to where it would lead. To get to where we are today, almost a decade later, is incredible and quite humbling. How we watch and engage with golf has changed a lot in that time, and I think that’s been to the benefit of those that play and love the sport. In P54, I have a partner that shares my passion to challenge the norm of how things are done in golf, and that will keep driving us forward as we continue to educate, entertain and inform golfers around the world.”

The new team has had an immediate impact, with the ‘Peter Finch Golf’ YouTube channel earning 2,200,000 million views and almost 24,000,000 minutes of viewing time in April.

Finch’s success has not been confined to YouTube however, with the Manchester-based influencer also accumulating over 185,000 followers and likes across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. His content and fan following has led to work with leading brands and golf businesses to create several bespoke content partnerships featuring some of the world’s best players, golf courses, right holders and brands.

Gary Davidson, Executive Director at Performance54, said: “Peter’s success is further evidence of the acceptance of social media as a brand marketing platform, and the growing acceptance of YouTube as a mainstream entertainment channel. We started working with Pete over four years ago and his growth is testament to his hard work and creativity; I’m sure the appointment of David and Jacob will further enhance that. By creating content that is informative, independent and engaging, Peter has positioned himself as one of golf’s most credible personalities and influencers, and we’re looking forward to reaching many more milestones in the years ahead.”
