Oscar Jacobson Ambassador, Wade Ormsby, claimed his first victory of the 2023 season by winning the International Series Thailand. Ormsby sealed the title in dramatic fashion with a birdie at the first play off hole at Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin.
It was the Australian’s fourth win on the Asian Tour and his first since the Hong Kong Open in 2020. Ormsby shot four rounds in the 60s, including a final round 65 which sees him climb the world rankings from 446 to 320.
Graeme Stevens, Managing Director of Worldwide Golf Brands, is delighted to see Ormsby claim his first victory since 2020, “It’s great to see Wade back inside the winners enclosure. We know how hard he works week in and week out on his game so it’s great that he reaped the rewards at the weekend. To shoot four rounds in the 60s is impressive and hopefully he carries on that good form into his next event. He represents the brand incredibly well and we can’t wait to see how he progresses further this season.”
