ORTIZ CONTINUES SUPERB SEASON FOR STUBURT

Torque GC golfer Carlos Ortiz has continued the fine run of form for players and teams sponsored by British apparel brand Stuburt, with a classy win at LIV Golf Houston this weekend.

Ortiz shot a final round 5 under to finish with -15, one shot ahead of Adrian Meronk. This was a first individual win for Ortiz at a LIV Golf event, building on the 4 team victories he has been part of. Also sporting Stuburt apparel were David Puig of Fireballs GC who came in T3 at -13 and his team captain Sergio Garcia who finished one place further back.

“It’s fantastic to see Stuburt on the podium again,” commented Graeme Stevens, owner of the British brand. “All three of our teams, Fireballs, Torque and Stinger have had success this year, and this win from Carlos has really kept Torque in the hunt for the overall title. Each team is playing some fantastic golf, and I’m delighted to be helping them to look great while they do it!”

Torque GC captain Joaquin Niemann remains on top of the individual standings for the year, with Stinger GC player Dean Burmester, chasing hard in third place. With five more events left in 2024, including the LIV Golf UK at JCB Golf & Country Club, it is set to be an exciting run in for Stuburt.
