OCEANTEE PICKS UP THREE UK MEDIA AWARDS

OCEANTEE, the sustainable golf brand, has picked up prestigious Editor’s Choice Awards in three different categories across the 2022 round up of the industry’s best products.  Golf Monthly has given an award to the ground-breaking PACIFIC cap range, and Today’s Golfer selected both the REEF polo and original Bamboo Tees.  This means that every new OCEANTEE product line has been recognised in the annual media awards.

“A lot of research goes into our product development, so it is always heartening to see this hard work recognised by the media who see so many products each year,” comments Founder of OCEANTEE Ed Sandison.  “As a sustainable business, the primary importance for us is to ensure that our products, packaging and processes are all environmentally sound, but the quality and usability of our products is equally important.  These awards show that there is never a need to compromise one for the other.”

One of the award winners, the new PACIFIC cap range, is a perfect example of how OCEANTEE marries functionality and innovation.  The pioneering cap range has been produced using recycled ocean plastic – exactly three bottles per cap, in fact – but that’s not the innovation that’s going to change the way we think about recycled waste.  It’s a simple QR code in the back of each cap which allows the wearer to see exactly where in the ocean the plastic waste was collected from and the journey it makes from the ocean to the palm of your hand!

As well as being good for the planet, the caps have a premium, comfortable feel as well as an anti-microbial and sweat resistant headband. And to top it off, the caps come packaged in a fully biodegradable bag. The OCEANTEE range now includes Drinks Bottles, Men’s and Women’s clothing as well as its bamboo tee range and can be bought direct online at www.oceanteegolf.com.
