New south of England rep for Golphinforkids

Golphinforkids, makers of golf clubs for children, has appointed a new sales representative for the south of England. Andrew Newton’s appointment follows a period of significant expansion for Golphinforkids in Scotland and will enable the brand to strengthen its presence in the southeast of England by supporting PGA pros in the region, instigating a demo day programme and getting more kids into golf.

Owned and manufactured by Ayrshire-based Golphin, Golphinforkids clubs were developed by Calum McPherson in partnership with PGA professionals and biomechanics experts at Strathclyde University. Golphinforkids clubs are said to be unlike any other junior clubs. With aerospace engineering and design at their core, they are 35 percent lighter and more forgiving than conventional junior clubs, with a 35 percent larger sweet spot. As a result, children find it much easier to take them away smoothly, swing, make contact with the ball and get it airborne.

Newton is a four-handicap golfer at East Brighton GC and has previously worked in sales, marketing and business development roles. He commented, “Right from the start I was struck by the ethos behind the Golphin brand, what it’s trying to do and the genuine innovation behind its kids clubs. The reaction from accounts I’ve opened in the first few weeks of being on board has been fantastic and demonstrates there is a real affinity for the Golphinforkids products.” More at: www.golphinforkids.com
