New Content Creation Agency Seven Iron Launched

One of the advertising world’s leading Creative Directors, Dave Bedwood, has launched a creative production agency aimed at giving the golf industry high end creative standards, but without the accompanying London agency costs.

Bedwood has been a Creative Director for 20+ years at M&C Saatchi, The & Partnership, Tribal DDB and 10 years at the creative helm of Lean Mean Fighting Machine the digital agency he co-founded in 2004. In that time, he has worked for clients such as Lexus, Land Rover, VW, Emirates, Unilever, Samsung, Virgin, Transport for London and Etihad, producing everything from TVCs, digital advertising, social media content and documentaries.

Seven Iron have put together an experienced team. Production is headed up by co-founder and Production Partner Andy Roberts, a talented multi disciplined TV producer who has also worked on an array of global and distinguished brands.

Also joining as Non-Executive Director is Eamonn Curtin, Deputy CEO of Telegenic, with over 20 years experience filming sporting events for TV broadcasters such as The Open, Ryder Cup, USPGA, UEFA Euros, Champions League and Six Nations.

The agency has already produced two TVCs for NBC Golf Pass. The first starring Rory McIlroy, which aired on SKY Sports during The Masters to wide acclaim. The second for SKYQ also airing on Sky. They have recently followed that up with an imaginative TVC campaign dramatising golfer’s best memories for GolfNow launched around The Open Championship.

Keen golfer Bedwood, commenting on the launch of the agency said: “I love golf, but to my mind it doesn’t always present itself in a modern and engaging way. We believe there’s a need for the standards of creativity and production that we offer, for an industry that traditionally hasn’t been able to afford West End agencies”.
