New Almanac and Compendium for Europe’s leading courses

Leading Golf Course of Europe organisation certifying Europe’s top golf venues has launched a new Almanac and Compendium, with the aim of growing membership within the UK and Ireland over the next twelve months. The new Leading Golf Courses of Europe Almanac 2014 is now available and being distributed throughout Europe to inform golfers about member golf clubs and their unique characteristics, enabling golfers to make informed decisions on the top club’s in Europe when planning their next visit.

Since its inception, more than 30 of Europe’s leading golf clubs across eleven countries have joined the association, including Open Championship venue Turnberry, Monte Rei, Son Gual, Costa Navarino and Royal Park I Roveri – along with its latest member Thracian Cliffs, host of the 2013 Volvo World Match Play Championships.

Claus Feldt, chief executive officer of The Leading Golf Courses of Europe, said, “The Leading Golf Courses of Europe is a mark of outstanding quality and brings together the top courses and enabling them to communicate confidently to prospective members and visitors. Since our initial launch, our steady progress across Europe shows our commitment to quality assurance in the golf market and we are confident that the best golf venues will continue to benefit from joining our elite group.”
