Migliozzi and Cantero earn 2019 European Tour card

Team Galvin Green will have two new members on the European Tour next season following Guido Migliozzi and Ivan Cantero earning their Tour Cards this week at the final stage of Q-School.

Needing a top-25 finish or ties to join Europe’s elite from 156 players that begun the final stage, Spaniard Cantero eagled his last hole of six gruelling rounds at Lumine Golf Club, Tarragonna, Spain, to finish on -20 and in a tie for ninth.

Wearing the brand’s distinctive EDGE clothing, Italian Guido carded a two-under par 69 in his final round to comfortably qualify on -18 in a tie for 13th. The 21-year-old has enjoyed a successful season in 2018, after winning twice and having a second-place finish on The Alps Tour.

“It’s an amazing feeling to know I’m going to be playing on the European Tour next season,” said Guido. “Six rounds in a week was tough going, but I believed in my game and I’m delighted to earn my card. I want to thank Galvin Green for the backing they’ve given me this year and I can’t wait to show off the EDGE range on the main Tour,” he added.

Ivan has recorded six top-10 finishes in 17 starts across The Alps and Challenge Tours in 2018. “It’s an absolute dream to gain my European Tour card for next year,” said the 22-year-old. “I’ve had some very positive results this year and a win is certainly around the corner and I hope that comes on the main Tour,” he added.

Both players have signed multi-year agreements to wear the latest Galvin Green garments exclusively at tournaments around the world and appear as prominent ambassadors.

“We have worked closely with Mark and Niall at Modest Golf since the very start and have always shared the objective of partnering with young and exciting talent. To have Guido and Ivan join Christiaan on The European Tour at this stage is simply fantastic. We’re so thrilled for them and look forward to supporting them on their exciting journey.” said Greg Pearse, Managing Director of Galvin Green in the UK & Ireland.
