MCA GOLF Launches All-New Kai’li Series to Serve the Modern Golf Athlete

Recognizing a growing desire among golfers everywhere for a shaft that is both explosive and responsive MCA Golf introduced its all-new Kai’li Series. Kai’li is the first new series MCA Golf has launched since introducing TENSEI in 2015.

“The name may be familiar but Kai’li is a bold new series designed like none before,” says Mark Gunther, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MCA Golf. “Kai’li is a blend of words meant to evoke the power and mystery of the ocean. This series is about discovering and unleashing new depths of strength and performance.”

The super modern design of Kai’li is reflected in the gloss black finish and stylish, ocean-themed graphic elements of Kai’li White.

Kai’li White will be the first design released, based on the classic “White” profile. It will feature a taper butt design for a feeling of smooth power in the hands – making it the first low launch, low spin taper butt shaft from Mitsubishi Chemical.

The Kai’li series utilizes Mitsubishi Chemical’s Super Low Resin Content Prepreg (S.L.R.C.) in the most consequential part of the shaft for creating feel: the torque core. By driving down resin content and increasing the volume of carbon fiber in the torque core, Mitsubishi Chemical engineers were able to dramatically improve frequency response to the golfer’s hands, creating a responsive, smooth feel not often associated with low launch profiles.

“Between Kai’li White and TENSEI 1K White, we now offer that player seeking a ‘low-low’ shaft a premium option in both a taper butt and parallel butt design,” says Gunther. “Players are getting more specific about desired performance and what they want to feel, so our products are becoming more diverse and specialized to meet those needs.”

All Kai’li flexes will include a super strong tip reinforced by MR70 and S.L.R.C. Prepreg, both advanced materials unique to Mitsubishi Chemical.

The S.L.R.C. fibers are specially oriented at 45° in every Kai’li™ shaft to provide increased tip strength and further reduce torque.

Kai’li White shafts provide a low torque, low launch profile that is ideally suited for the modern power game. They will be available in early 2022 with an MSRP of $300.

Technologies Featured:

SUPER LOW RESIN CONTENT (S.L.R.C.) PREPREG
Our Super Low Resin Content (S.L.R.C.) Prepreg contains up to 15% more carbon fiber and 13% less resin than traditional prepregs. This allows for a higher density of carbon fibers, producing up to 40T strength with less added weight and a purer feel. The S.L.R.C. fibers are also uniquely oriented at 45° to provide added tip strength and drive down torque value.

MR70
Specifically designed and developed by Mitsubishi Chemical for high-performance applications, MR70 is an innovative carbon fiber material that is 20% stronger with 10% higher modulus than conventional materials.
