Matthew Fitzpatrick wins DP World Tour Championship in first week as a Bettinardi Golf Staff Player

Bettinardi Golf’s newest Staff Professional, European and PGA TOUR star Matthew Fitzpatrick, won the DP World Tour Championship in his first week with the Chicago based putter specialists.

Fitzpatrick won the event for the second time, at -15, and was his 6th career win. The 26-year-old Englishman, who turned pro in 2014, finished second in the Race to Dubai and rose to 16 in the Official World Golf Rankings with his victory. In 2020 alone, Fitzpatrick earned 5 top-10 finishes on the PGA TOUR with an astounding 0.880 Strokes Gained Putting, making him the second-best on TOUR in this stat.

Hand-crafted to his exact specifications, Fitzpatrick plays a DASS BB1 Flow Tour Dept. putter with a custom face milling, which he gamed throughout his successful 2020 season. His specific face milling served as a large inspiration for Bettinardi, and became the base of the newest Roll Control Face, found on the 2021 Studio Stock Series.

Founder Robert Bettinardi is confident that, with the help of his products and their collaboration, Fitzpatrick will continue to find this success in the future.

“We couldn’t be more proud to have such a talented golfer to be a part of the Bettinardi Tour staff,” Robert Bettinardi said. “It means the world to have a renowned professional like Matt trust the craftsmanship and quality of a Bettinardi in his hand on the biggest stage in golf. Matt’s trust in our company speaks volumes to our passion in crafting the world’s best putters with tight quality controls to meet the demands of the world’s best players.”

Fitzpatrick is joining a staff of many other PGA TOUR professionals, including Matt Kuchar and CJ Cup champion Jason Kokrak. This lineup of players on the PGA TOUR proves the value of Bettinardi products and the ability to meet the needs of some of the top global players.

“Adding Matthew Fitzpatrick to Team Bettinardi is absolutely huge for our brand and further proves that Bettinardi putters are second to none when it comes to quality and craftsmanship. Meeting the strict demands of arguably one of the best putters in the world is a true testament to Bettinardi Golf and our team of highly talented engineers who worked extremely hard to perfect a face milling and putter head that Matt requested,” Executive Vice President Sam Bettinardi said.
