LOWRY WINS IRISH OPEN WITH NEW SRIXON DRIVER

Srixon staff player Shane Lowry claimed his first victory of the 2026 season with a commanding performance at the Amgen Irish Open.

The Irishman finished the tournament on 23-under-par, 11 shots clear of the field, to collect the seventh DP World Tour title of his career.

It was Lowry’s second victory in his national open, coming 17 years after he first won the tournament as an amateur in 2009.

A course-record eight-under-par 62 during the second round moved Lowry firmly into contention. He began Sunday with a four-shot advantage before pulling away to record the largest winning margin on the DP World Tour this season.

“This year has been quite difficult on the course for me,” said Lowry. “I’ve had a few chances to win and took some really tough times, but to come here and win is incredible. I can’t believe I’m standing here and looking at that leaderboard. This has been the most spectacular week.”

Lowry ranked first in Strokes Gained: Total for the tournament, combining accurate approach play with the short-game skills that have been central to his success throughout his career.

The result also provided Srixon with immediate Tour exposure for its new driver, which Lowry placed in the bag for the tournament. Further information about the club has yet to be announced.

For retailers, the victory provides a strong talking point across several established Srixon and Cleveland Golf categories. Lowry’s winning equipment included ZXi7 irons, the Z-Star XV golf ball and Cleveland Golf’s latest RTZ 2 wedges.
