Langer plays Titleist for record Senior Open victory

Bernard Langer won his second Senior Open Championship in emphatic style at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club finishing a record-breaking 13 strokes clear of the field after closing with a final round 67 for an 18-under, 266 winning total, the lowest in the 28 year history of The Senior Open Championship. The margin of victory was the largest in a senior major, topping the previous mark of 12 shots set in 1997. Colin Montgomerie was a distant second at five under par.

Langer played with a Titleist Pro V1 which was also the most trusted golf ball of the field in Wales, with 110 players of the 146 player field using the ball, more than twelve times the nearest competitor with nine.
