KBS has expanded its V-X family with the launch of the TOUR V-X, a steel iron shaft developed to provide greater stability and control while retaining the feel associated with the brand’s products.
The new model is aimed at golfers seeking more predictable performance throughout their iron set. Its construction combines a firm butt section, responsive mid-section and stable tip profile, with KBS saying the design reduces unwanted movement through impact to support a consistent launch, trajectory and dispersion.
At the centre of the TOUR V-X is a new flex profile and geometric design developed around what KBS identifies as its three principal performance characteristics: stability, feel and playability.
According to the company, the shaft’s weight-to-strength ratio is nearly 20 per cent higher than that of any previous KBS iron shaft design. The additional strength is intended to reduce distortion during the swing, particularly at impact, helping golfers deliver the clubhead more consistently.

“Golfers should not have to choose between stability and feel,” said Kim Braly, Director of R&D and Master Shaft Maker at KBS. “With the TOUR V-X, we have engineered a shaft that feels unmistakably KBS but offers an exceptional level of control through impact. It is a next-generation design created for players who want to swing with confidence and see more predictable results.”
For retailers and custom fitters, the TOUR V-X is offered in a broad fitting matrix comprising six weights from 105g to 130g. Available flexes are R, R+, S, S+, X and TX, providing options for golfers with a range of swing speeds and delivery patterns.
The TOUR V-X joins the lighter TOUR V-X LITE in the company’s expanding V-X family. Together, the two models give fitters a wider selection of performance-focused steel shafts across different weights and swing profiles.
