The response to the announcement of the Women in Golf Awards, taking place on December 7th at the Bramshaw and Bell Inn, has been resounding. Practically every area of the golf industry is represented on the guest list and nominations for the Unsung Hero Award have come in from every part of the United Kingdom demonstrating the positive impact that women are having across the sport.
“We are delighted by the interest the awards dinner has already received,” comments co-Founder of the Women in Golf Awards, Nicole Wheatley “Our main ambition for the awards was to reach a broad cross section of women working in golf, and we have. The correspondence we have received has been incredibly supportive of the idea, so we are determined that this will become a permanent date in the calendar going forward.”
Voting remains open for the Brand of the Year, Venue of the Year and the Unsung Hero Awards. The judging panel for the remainder of the awards to be presented on the night comprises former Tour professional now presenter Sophie Walker, BGIA Board Member Helen Willmser, Editor of Women and Golf Emma Ballard, Group Services Director at The TGI Group Adele McLean and COO of BIGGA Sami Strutt.
